No, I haven't. I generally don't get into compact guns or smaller in powerful calibers because I know right off the bat that it's going to not be a fun time to shoot it. A snubnose .44 magnum with a short grip comes to mind. Not to mention I tend to dislike small guns in general, particurally those that I can't get my entire hand around. My charter arms .38 undercover is an exception to that, however.

I must admit I find it a little odd how a Glock was more pleasurable to shoot than a 1911 in the same caliber. I would think that with the lighter frame you'd have more muzzle flip and more recoil, vs the steel frame a 1911 has. Although a 1911 has more edges and corners on it's frame than a Glock does. If I find myself holding the same opinion later I can always trade it for something else.
