At some point I'll have a pair of something. Probably a set of stainless R1s. I still love my R1 1911, especially now after I've replaced the trigger and the grips. At the time I wasn't aware these shipped out with ultra thin grip panels. My hand fits it much better with the normal 1/4" thick grips and arched mainspring housing.

Here's something I'll pitch out there. Does anyone have any opinions on 10mm and .38 super, specifically in 1911 platforms? I'd really like to have a longslide stainless 10mm 1911 and a normal GI style .38 super 1911, but I don't know much about how the cartridges perform today. I know the 10mm used to be a hot round, but I don't know if the FBI's toying with it leeched out onto the market and turned most of the 10mms out there into oversized .40 S&Ws.
