On this work truck 93 2.3 5-Speed the shifter is quite sloppy. I actually did the clutch about 10 years ago and it still seems good but the shifter is pretty bad. It was bad back then. I replaced something on it when I did that clutch but it's been so long since I forgot what it was. I know that the pinch bolt nut was missing when I did that. I see Dorman offers a shifter kit for it but I'm not sure what the parts are in the kit. Also the knob has gone missing again. I don't drive it. I actually never got the hang of driving it because I've always had automatics. I did do the whole clutch job and everything worked on the first time. No overnight bleeding, I remember that. My father uses it as a work truck but the shifter is pretty bad and might need some attention. Without having to remove the transmission is there anything to do that might fix it?
