351 is still a tough fit into the ranger but not nearly as tough as the 4.6
I like your plans!
However keep this in mind, its not too difficult to get 350-380 Hp from a stroked 5.0. You can buy a crate engine GT40 based 331 or 347 that makes these numbers and basically BOLT IT IN
