Some people prefer to not run their A/C all the time and still like to stay cool. A sliding rear window makes a huge difference in interior air movement with the windows down. It's also perfect for those days that you don't really need A/C but you're still a little warm..

In the early trucks with wing windows in the doors, the airflow is increased even more.

In my latest V8 truck with no A/C, I need to install a rear slider in a bad way. I"m also looking for a good set of doors with wing windows. I'll install A/C eventually but it'll be years before I get to that.
