Every ranger I have owned had the sliding rear window.

This latest one don't.

I did notice when I glanced around I could see everything better.

I don't see a reason for the slide. What is this for? Easy access for people to enter your truck? So your passenger can hold the mattress up while you drive? So you can pass a smoke to the people riding in your bed? To make that loud obnoxious noise it does when you have it open and drive?
