I'd assume we name them because we as humans want to feel some sort of a connection...? Like 1qaz said, mine have been girl names as well. My old 99 Chevy suburban was named "Big Bertha" (she was huge. Seriously.) My old 1986 Jeep Cherokee was named Barbarah (new owner still calls her that) As for my current truck, I still have no name. I want it to be the right one, lol. Taking any suggestions.
