 OK I own a whole set now, didn't do harbor freight went middle of the road. Thanks guys. I knew they existed but see no reason to use them in this application, simply a way to sell more tools. Like torx and torx plus.

Yes you can torque a plus higher but since a regular won't fit in the bolt if someone isn't aware of the 2 different designations they will grab the next size down regular torx and destroy at least the wrench if not the bolt too.

On the flip side the T+ wrench will fit in the regular torx head but since it only connects on the tips you can strip the wrench and the bolt with little force.

When I bought the set of reverse torx sockets they have pluses also! You would need a house size tool box to store every tool available.
