I'll never quite understand why people will praise Mcdonalds when they can go to the outback, chilis or (my favorite) Culvers and get a real honest-to-God burger; not just some formed thing called a burger.
But that's none of my business.
The simple answer is price. People can go to McD and get 2 small burgers for $2.50 vs 1 burger for $10 with tip at the places you mentioned. Honestly that's about the only reason I've ever got one. I wanted something fast and cheap.
