Ugh sorry to be the bearer of bad news... the pieces the lights attach to is fiberglass and are busted. Looks like that's what happened in one era to the 98 I am working on. To get the turn signals from pointing down I had to put about a 3/8 spacer worth of washers and use longer screws. You need something to drive for a few days so you can tear it to the core and see what all is really broke.

When you get a new grill make sure it is for a 4wd. They both fit but the horizontal ribs are out more on the 2wd and the vert ones are out on the 4wd. Except for the painted grills that match the truck, on those the 4wd uses the 2wd style for some reason.

That thing looks in really good shape for the year, well worth putting some money in.
