Back-in-the-Day... funny saying that but it's true, when I had my first vehicle, front fender well lighting and grille lighting was the "THING to do", or at least we thought it was. Just to be able to wire it up at 16, was a good thing, and people thought well of you but in fact the lights when on, were annoying, and got all kinds of comment from parents and the local Police. Never got a ticket for extra lighting but got stop and asked about them so many times I ran with the light off most of the time.
Theme Lighting, for Shows, for Contesting, or for Whatever, is a "THING" of the times and works for the application but the only extra Lighting that will show up on my Truck would be Clearance Lighting. Is that a "THING"..., to me no, so it boils down to, "What do you like and for what reason do you have the Lighting" !
