Done 4 recently have had no issues. The lowers have bushings also, the sway bar has bushings and the shocks can make noise if they are extremely bad.

What's funny is I was just looking at a new snap on product, a microphone with blue tooth you can attach to your frame to tell where squeaks are coming from.

Shocks are new..  sway bar is removed to elimate from equation.

when you install new control arms you need to set the pre load on the bushings, otherwise they will twist beyond their range of travel and squeek

So you basically need to keep the UCA through bolts slightly loose when you drop stab the upper ball joint and finally put the truck back down on the front tires under its weight and at ride height...then torque them down
Same goes for LCA bushings

This would be my guess.  Im doing u joints soon.  I'll loosen up the pass side and verify everything.
