OK it should accept a 7M file of any physical size, it resizes to 640 X 480 if it is bigger..
Most of my stuff is high res 4160x3120 PNG (this is the resolution of my camera on my phone). The Gallery doesn't like most of my files, as they appear to be 7-9MB. I am having to shrink them in MS Paint, before uploading them. Any chance of getting the physical file size increased so I dont have to do this extra step?
