New to the site, have had a rangers since 1991. First one 91 2.9 4x4 extended cab with the dreadful a4ld. The truck was parked last year with 400K on the clock. Still was running, though very weakly, with wore out transmission. Pulled engine with intentions of installing 1967 mustang 289ci but was overwhelmed and the project went idle. Just picked up a 99 3.0 flex 4x4 and have started to diagnosing the myriad of electrical gremlins, transmission issues, and probably a cracked head gasket. Did I mention I know virtually nothing about electrics? It has been a dose of bitter meds and the problems seem endless.
