I believe the F150 in the US has a 10 speed transmission although I have no idea if the one in the Ranger will be the same.
From what I have read the 10 speed is a step towards (or a compromise) for CVT. Anyways do you foresee any issues off roading which such a transmission?
I will be getting confirmation on if this transmission will indeed include a 4wd low range which I suspect it does.
