That is a decent price on plinking ammo for a Garand. The good thing about the PPU brass is good for reloading. On another note, I have a buddy that just turned 70 and he started cleaning out his gun locker and ammo locker cutting down to just a few guns and the ammo for them. He had a 5 gallon bucket of brass, 3 boxes of cast 125gr 9mm RN, and about 50 shell tray's that he gave me. My buddy was not a reloader but he had a few friends that were. Supposedly some of the 10mm and 9mm have been reloaded and the rest is once fired. I have been going through the brass and it is about equally split up between 9mmLugar, 10mm, 45ACP, and 454 Casull but there are a couple hand fulls of 30-30 and 7.62x39. I have been running my tumbler non-stop since Wednesday cleaning batches of 400-500 of 9mm and I am about half way through cleaning the 9mm. I will trade the 45ACP to another buddy of mine for 45ACP with the small primer. I will let him clean and sort it out. With the price of police trade in 10mm I am considering getting a 10mm. My 44mag with hot Magnum loads are not fun to shoot anymore, it hurts. A 454 Casull has about 2.5 times the power of a 44Mag. The 454 brass will probably go on the brass trader site as I have no desire to ever shoot one of those again.
