I know this is the first 4x4 Ranger I've owned so it might be normal but when I turn the 4x4 off while still going the same direction I was when I turned it on,when I go to turn there's a popping noise and jerking in the front end. I have automatic lockers so I know they're still engaged but is that normal and is it hurting anything? It's got an open differential in the front by the way.I don't understand what the difference would be between the front and rear differentials,if the rear was an open 1 too,the outer axle will turn faster than the inner 1. It has to be the lockers doing it because when I disengage the lockers it quits doing it. I believe somebody on here said the newer Rangers have the lockers engaged all the time and I can't image people tolerating a thing like that so it has to be the lockers being the problem but I don't understand why they do that,do the manual lockers do that,or is it the design of the automatic ones only?
