After reading a few threads on explorer v8 swaps for rangers it seems awd is the only option? Assuming a factory look and street legal is the intent, which is mine as well. Is the awd an upgrade or a disappointment? I'd love to hear from some who have done the swap or own one swapped.

I have a 2007 sport 4x4, 4door, 4.0L SOHC V6 auto and I'm researching ways I can modify and personalize my ranger.
