Close all does not turn the app off, it runs in the background searching frequently for the OBD2 reader, and decreases charge on your battery faster. I say as I see 6% and plug my phone in. Me runs a mapping/tracking app when I'm mountain biking or hiking; it'll pause when I pause and to some degree, reduce battery consumption (GPS in itself, is a battery eater, so...). Knowing this, sometimes I wonder why the guys that cooked up the Torque app can't revise it to make note of when the engine is off and the vehicle isn't moving (ie, GPS or steering sensor or both) and pause the d*mn app, and if the time is prolonged, put it in a sleep mode until the next time the vehicle is driven. Having to fiddle with Torque every time the vehicle is used a PITA and as such, the Torque doesn't get used much here.
