Although it's possible that Pelican left left out useful info, I'll admit that after reading post #5 and thinking about the real problem at hand, that his mechanic found a loose hose and instead of winning a customer by putting it back on, smiling and saying, "no charge", that he instead didn't have it in his blood to let the guy go without making money. So along with hooking the hose up he sells the guy a part for $60 that he bought for $20 (everyone knows that shops make money on parts, they sell at full retail but that's not what they pay) and collects labor to install.
