Here is a picture of my OHC, with switches.  I used Mini Switches because of the room inside of the OHC !



The two larger switches are for the Map Lights, the Map Lights are Home Made LED Set Ups, not perfect but they work; thinking on the Buggman LEDs for replacements but not right away !
The four smaller holes are for the Mini Switches and I have added mini LEDs for indicators but they are not shown.
The Plate is just 1/16" Aluminum, cut to shape and bent to fit the contour of the OHC !
Some like the Digital Readout on the OHC, I don't need it, so put in switches.

Also, the Sun Glasses Pocket, which you can't see in the pic, I removed the cover and made a Plate to fit the inside of that compartment, I then mounted my Tri_Band Amateur Radio Remote Front Panel up there.   its out of the way, easy to see and quick to get to.  I have no pictures of the Radio Front Panel mounted and I took the Radio out for transportation to SoCal but when it get reinstalled I will post up a picture.
Yup, same one I have only mine is a light Gray. It didnt match the blue interior but nowwwwww... I have a gray one so perfect! lol

I do have to ask why did you swap out from the factory switches for the lights? and what do/did the additional switches do or meant to do? For the ICOM (HAM) unit I want, it will replace the rear view mirror as it has like a detachable face type feature to remote install the box elsewhere. I know for a fact from the outside unless I mentioned it, no one would notice that its not a mirror. Especially once I replace the windshield and tint it 50-70% to keep the heat out and the glare down. I don't need it dark, just for heat reduction purposes. This is like one of the only vehicles I've owned without a tinted windshield and in the Michigan when I lived there, it wasn't even necessary. Here in the Desert areas tho.. gawd damn I miss it.

I know you didn't ask me this and I do not have any pictures.
The center compartment has straight sides and tapered front and back, the back isn't tapered as much as the front-end it has slots for Cassette Tapes or maybe CDs, not sure what year truck the one I have came out of, thinking '02/'03 !  There is small area that is flat, I'm guessing for miscellaneous things.
If I remember in the AM I will take a picture of the interior... I need to clean mine out anyway !

There are two other types of Center Consoles out of Explorers that will fit, a Sport Bag Type with a removable Bag from an Explorer Sport and a full length Console for automatic Explorers, both have there place and uses, and both fit the Rangers !
A member, V8 Level II, has the full length version in his truck, fully functional with data readouts, and it looks good, (Check out The May Winner for Ranger of the Month).  the only member with the Sport Bag Version, that I know of, is me but no pictures.
I checked out the setup in V8 Level II's gallery. I kinda like what he's got going on in there but truly its too much for my needs and although i am confident i could make the manual trans shifter look good in it... there are several other reasons why I find it unnecessary. I may have to consider the shorty console.. I mean even in a standard cab truck who couldn't use 2 more cup holders? And I have an idea to make the center console a lock box/safe-"like" as well.

So yea, some interior pics would be keen. Those were stock or came out of the Explorer's too?
