I would think it would handle offroading in the sense that Rough Country is best/most known for its Jeep wares. What it MAY not be good for is desert running so much or those who like to take there trucks into low atmosphere launches off dirt mounds and dunes.. lol but for the majority of what people are after which lets be honest. Maybe 30-40% of us do what would be considered "serious" offroading, people are after a look, especially ranger owners of the masses. Dirt or unpaved driveways, snow belt daily grinds 4 months out of the year, and the occasional romp through a street side water main break, are NOT formidable exercises in offroading - Lift kit or not. Personally I WOULD like to see some detailed pics of the metal work because I'd be curious as to the quality of welds. I can already say or believe that the shocks would be something I would upgrade. I get the fact that the advertisement video and the sales pitch mention "a factory ride".. Myself and I think I could speak for a few others. For the money, I'd want better than factory because of what I know I am going to do with it. I think the kit fits a large demographic of the masses and suits the needs. Going through post after post on most Ranger forums, its my opinion, that people think nothing is better than factory and strive to keep there trucks in that order which is fine; and for that reason is why my above statement is that a kit that gives rather superior clearances and offers an aggressive look without sacrificing at least the factory ride, PROVIDING quality should be beyond adequate. EDIT: I'd also like to add the misconception of "thinner metal" being bad or poor. Myself, as someone who grew up in a steel family; specifically stainless steel divisions of companies. My father has brought home stuff not quite a 1/4in in thickness and with a little effort bendable. And then I've played with samples he's brought home that were 1/16th in +/- and even trying to fold it over in a bench vise was difficult with a larger hammer. Thickness isnt the ONLY thing that adds strength. The metallurgy of the material is its first strength, or weakness for that matter. In the sense of Stainless Steel - The added nickle content adds rigidity and strength. However, that being said. Playing my own devils advocate, too much can make something brittle as well which is where other metals are a part of the content to do what the manufacture needs. THAT'S part of the R&D Further, for those I think expecting more on the aggressive stance of stepping just over the line of chaotic good but not abuse. I think you would want more than this kit even if was loaded with Fox shock, entry level King Shocks, or some equivalent. There is better and the pricing obviously reflects it as we all know.
