I have an old style 5 gal gas can and a new style gas can. Every time I have tried to use the new style gas can I spill gas all over the place. It is useless. I can put the old spout on it and pour but it belches because it does not have an air relief. They can be purchased off Amazon. The only real use I have for the new style gas can is to fill it up and put a cap on it and set it inside the bed of my truck between the bed wall and my work box. I have a siphon hose with a pump bulb so I can transfer the contents to my gas tank fairly easily but there is always some residual spill.
