I decided to add the Grille Pictures to this thread. Duplication of effort but it is part os the process. I start with a picture of the Old vs New Grille and Lettering Ols Grille, Red Bronco Lettering, it worked at the time but I always wanted the lettering larger. ![]() New Grille, larger lettering but they still need to be spaced further apart. Not too much but an increase in spacing, just want the sides filled a little more ! If anyone noticed this picture shows the front bumper in its new Powder Coated Black Coating, a little shinier than the Paint used originally when I got the bumper ! ![]() Got the lettering spaced out where I thought I wanted them; things change ! I'm thinking moving the center two letters out so the inside edge of each of the letters matches the support bar instead of the outside edge. No too big of a move but it will increase the overall spacing and fill things up a little more ! ![]() Here are the Letters mounted. ![]() Here is the mounting panel to lock things in place. I marked it for the LEFT of the vehicle, just in case I dropped it and lost my way ! This plate will need to be increase in length approximately three more inches and the lettering moved outward. ![]() Here are the basic parts, New Grille, Mounting/Spacer Plate, Letters with owner installed studs, and Hardware on the side... ! ![]() Simple straight forward, when I remove the headlights for the Projector Retrofit Install, I need to re-space the lettering to the wider spacing, clean up the lower part of the grille shell some and installed the new LED Fog Lights. May even thing on the new winch install. The new Fog Lights are not projector and will probably NOT throw the light I want so I may need replace them at a later date, may have some cheap Fog Lights for sale soon. Here are a few picture of the Fog Lights and yes I know they are not projectors but I am interested in filling in front of the vehicle not the road ahead, that's what I am Retrofitting the Projector for. Nothing special, just some thirty dollar Fog Lights, hoping for them to light up the front of the truck, sort of fill in the gap from the front of the truck to the headlight beams, to me that is all the OEM Fog Lights did. These come with directional too, have to see where that goes. Oh ya, 48 watts each, 6000K, again, not mounted yet but they are bright when hooked to a battery, but we will see how they light the road and IF they last once mounted. ![]() This pic shows the Directional Strip built in, not sure how bright but should go well with the new directionals going in with the Projectors. ![]() Dimensions: Diameter: 90mm wide = 3.54 inches Depth: 60mm = 2.36 inches The height measurement is screwed up, it includes the full length of the mounting bolt supplied with the light, only problem is the bolt is plain old steel, needs to be replaced with S/S. You can see the diameter of the Fog Light Holes in the Front bumper pictures, they will mount on a Tab welded to the bumper just behind the hole, and the Mounting tab on the light can be reversed, this will allow for a mounted position further forward. Also, the Diameter is perfect for the hole diameter, one of the reasons I purchased these. ![]() Too many projects building up, Need to get away from the Barn and Yard Projects and get to the Ranger.
