I have a stock 2009 Ranger XL with 2.3L manual tranny. The tires are 225/70R15 and I want to put a narrower tire on it. What is the rim width Ford spec'd for this truck?
I want to go with 215/75/R15 tire on it. Is this possible with the stock steel rims?
Although physically possible and feesable, I am curious as to the benefit you're looking to create here. 10mm less width, 1mm in sidewall, and 6mm in diameter with only load ratings of the tire left to differentiate outside the stock parameters?
