Jesus.... When it rains it pours. So, a few weeks ago I bought a set of sights for my Beretta 92A1, with the advice of a Trijicon employee who confirmed which sights are correct for my application. They are tritium sights. I got them in and took it over to my local gunsmith. They would not fit without alteration. I brought them home and I contacted trijicon. They suggested I send the slide and sights to them, under the guise that I would only need to pay shipping. After some thinking, I did just that. My local AK pack and ship charged me 36 bucks to send that slide to Michigan. First and last time I use them. Last night I received a quote for the installation. $32. That's a lot more than $0. Well, I just called Trijicon, explained the situation and successfully got it waived, which I expressed my gratitude for. However, it is possible that the sights I was sent by Brownells may not be the correct sights at all, as the rear sight would not enter the dovetail whatsoever. I guess we will see what happens in the next few days.
