Is it just me... every couple years my rearview mirror falls off.
I have an explorer auto dim mirror & I got the metal mount drom the expo windshield, but it's always been a little loose fitting, but I've used every trpy of mirror adhesive I can find... the super glue style, the silicone glue style, etc. but every couple of years the mirror just falls off. I rarely ever touch the mirror & haven't had a stereo to rattle it loose in many years.
When this one falls off, i think i'm gonna gorilla glue that sucker back on ha!
I had a car that fought me on this one in the exact same way, and NO amount of cleaning, following instructions for adhesive to the letter of the law, etc would result in permanent adhesion. Then one day a rock flew up and cracked the glass, aww bummer (not), ran it through insurance, $100 later new OEM windshield, end of problem. No more sandblasted glass either.
