It probably is the intake, when I had the cold start miss the upper to lower intake seals & retorquing the lower intake fixed the problem for me. When I had the cracked heads the miss would happen whether the engine was cold or hot & he is only complaining about it with a cold engine.
I've got the parts hopefully I'll have time Sunday
