Been there, done that. You can get the shots but they eventually do not work as my system has built up a tolerance. I need to be off them for 3 years before I can try them again. I am on year 2.
For many years I had a job where I traveled 90% of the time. I would volunteer for remote jobs in areas that did not have pollen issues form mid March till mid June. This worked well until I had 2 months in South Australia during their pollen season.
