Looks great, I too agree the valance is designed to be impossible to remove without damaging something.

I had a gold 2000 I bought to sell,the valance had been ripped out on one side there was no good way to attach it since the tangs were busted. You can see 2 of 4 screws I put in (self tapping sheet metal screws I did drill a small hole first being bumpers are thick):
