Where that may ever so slightly add to or take away from some lighting attributes. That's more of a HEAT deflector than a light deflector around the bulb. its designed to soak in the heat away from the bulb and it cools off quick. Higher wattage of course may heat it up more causing it to melt the housing or discolor it. I would suppose more for long duration with lights on more so than fully on wattage increases although more wattage especially in Halogen bulbs will most def increase heat withing the structured housing of that lamp housing. Over time more or worsening discoloration or warping could occur; more so if you drive longer or one of those people that turn on all your lights during the day for safety or just plain attention.. lol A.K.A those with HID lights driving around all hours of the day and you know full well that vehicle doesnt have DRL.
