If you remove that ring/bracket around the fog light bulb you will have more light spread and it's a wider pattern.  I did this with my fogs and there is a thread somewhere on the forums about it.  It's not a HUGE difference but it does make a noticeable difference.  It's super easy to split the housing and undo the little screw that is holding that bracket on.

I just replaced my non oem foglights which were peeling to oem ones and will be removing that bracket again.
