No, the engine spun some bearings. I was concerned about reusing the originals with the cracks for fear of a leak on the new block.
A new pair is ~$150 from Ford. A small price to pay for piece of mind later on.
I understand, I will be buying a new trans instead of trying to use a JY Unit, just to get it right the first time !
Clean up the Valve Covers before install, grind down the casting marks, smooth out any roughness.
What about a little Hydro-Graphics... would look good.
