I guess I am not clear on how this will all work out for them. Designate an area that is more congested than you want. Sure, fine. Charge more on a car purchased by someone in that area. Ok, I can see that. What about cars purchased outside that area, but still primarily used there? And requiring companies to offer 'commute benefits'. I will say I am not cool with a bunch of added taxes, specially ones that look problematical to enforce. But requiring companies to do things i also disagree with. If things like that become seen as employment benefits, companies will offer them to stay competitive. A lot of this is why we enacted TABOR, no new taxes without voter approval. It can be a problem at times, but other times I whole heartedly like it. As for the State monitoring miles driven in order to tax usage since they are loosing gas tax revenue, I will be against that always.
