When I was a kid I ran a linear with my CB while on sideband, wayyyy up on some *unmentionable* channels that most people didn't even know existed (and technically, didn't), that somehow found their way into my gear with an *unmentionable* mod+inclusion of some additional crystals and switching that I figured out. After performing the mod, I soon began exchanging several cards in the mail from people in almost every state and some foreign countries, it was challenging and it was fun! *I remember when I got the crystals, the guy at the shop told me, "don't tell anyone where you got these", lol.
