Hmm, i'm sure i tried that, but maybe i didn't use lithium, silicone would be about the same.
Anyway, it might feel tighter the more 'pulled' it is, i'll give it go, thanks.
Since i adjusted the door catch, when the truck body warms up a lot, i can hear what sounds like the door ajar when driving over bumps - the panels line up ok, but seems that i need to adjust the catch further inward.
Lithium Grease is by far the better product over Silcone, silicone is good stuff but Lithium has been doing its thing for a long time.
I like Silicone Spray for house windows but not for the Door Hinges, Locks and Handles, although someone said it works on the window gaskets.
After spraying, what ever lube you want to use, spray the Door Handles and Latches, soak them, then shut and open the door a few times to get the stuff worked into the latch and other moving parts.
If the noise comes back faster than you think is should have, check the pivot points on the Handle, I am thinking maybe a crack or maybe a rusted latch mechanism.
AND... as you said about the rattling from the door on rougher roads, usually it is an in and out movement, same as mine.
